Introduction

Footmuffs are an essential piece of kit for many of us, especially with the cold weather that we are so often exposed to in this country. We have been taking a look at the new Betty Bramble Luxury Footmuff to see if it is up to the challenge of keeping our little ones warm and cosy!

Material

The Betty Bramble Footmuffs are made from 2 different materials. The inner liner where the baby sits is made from super soft cotton, while the outer layer is a hardwearing corduroy. The layers are padded with ultra thick wadding – think winter duvet style and you can imagine how warm and cosy these footmuffs are! They are machine washable should you need to give them a spruce up, and everything screams high quality. Even the zips feel strong and glide smoothly with no snagging or sticking. I actually wish I could get inside one of these footmuffs myself, they look so warm and comfortable!

Fit

The Betty Bramble Footmuff is universal fitting, meaning that you would struggle to find a pushchair that this didn’t fit. There are 2 options for attachment – you can slide the pocket at the top of the footmuff over the top of your pushchair seat, or you can attach using the ties on the side. So no matter what style or shape of pushchair you have, you can use this footmuff with ease. Once attached there is no slipping or movement, even with a wriggly little one in situ. The sizing of the footmuff is extremely generous. It is much larger than many footmuffs I have seen and I think at 110cm long it would comfortably last until your child was no longer in a pushchair. Cleverly though, it is not so long that it drags on the floor when you are pushing the pushchair along. The balance between space and practicality is just right.

Special features

The Betty Bramble footmuff has been designed so that you can completely remove the top layer of the footmuff and use the bottom layer as a pushchair liner in warmer weather. Not only does this protect the seat from sticky little fingers, the bright and eye catching designs keep your pushchair looking fabulous no matter what the season!

Conclusion

Betty Bramble have clearly thought long and hard about the design of this product. Everything has been catered for, from the universal fit and generous (but not too generous) length to the gorgeous designs and extra thick wadding. I like that it can be used as a liner during the summer months – this makes it much better value for money, and although it is towards the more expensive end of the market, it’s versatile multi-functional use makes it worth the investment. There is no chance of your little one feeling the cold in this super warm, super cosy footmuff, and if you are anything like me and change your pushchair regularly, this footmuff will seamlessly swap from one to another with no issues, and this, combined with all the other plus points makes this a winner for me.
