Colour
The SnoozeShade Original Deluxe is only available in grey with black trims.
The SnoozeShade Original Deluxe is just as versatile as the Classic SnoozeShade, helping your little ones to go to sleep while out and about, allowing them to switch off from the outside world.
Material
One of the differences between the SnoozeShade Original and the SnoozeShade Original Deluxe is the colour of the fabric, the Deluxe version is made in a lovely grey colour with black trimmings instead of the classic black colouring with yellow trimmings. I have to admit it does give it more of a sleek look and it is a more neutral colouring. Dare I say it but it looks a little more classy!
You can see just why it is able to fit on all prams and pushchairs because the material is extremely elasticated but it is also surprisingly compact when folded down, ideal for popping in your changing bag when not in use.
The mesh material is soft whilst remaining breathable, allowing air to circulate freely and protecting from 97.5% of the Sun’s harmful UV rays, creating a calming environment for your little one, helping them sleep when you are out and about. And remember it is ideal for when you are on holidays abroad too because the SnoozeShades lightweight material also protects from insects too.
The fit
The SnoozeShade Original Deluxe can be used in the same four ways as the Original SnoozeShade:
• Snooze mode, covering the whole of the pushchair, blocking visual distractions.
• Blocking the sun from all angles.
• Blanket mode, covering their legs from things like wind and rain.
• Hood extension, giving that added bit of shade for your little one.
Again there are three pairs of stretchy straps which you attach around your pushchair frame however there is a difference to fitting the SnoozeShade Original Deluxe.
Instead of velcro fastening, the Deluxe version uses safety-certified poppers to place the SnoozeShade on your pushchair.
I like the poppers simple, to do up and the popping sound lets you know that they are done up correctly. Securely fastened, the SnoozeShade is going nowhere; the elements won’t budge it, much more convenient than the pesky parasols that seem to decide on their own how they want to be placed.
Features
The sneak-a-peek zip: I always loved this feature and now the opening has been made just that little bit longer, allowing you as a parent to check on your baby without disturbing them whilst they snooze.
Easy to open and close, I think this zip proves invaluable, especially when your little ones are very young, gives you peace of mind being able to check on them whenever you feel the need to.
The ‘sleeping baby’ emblem: The idea of this is to discourage other people from disturbing your baby when they are sleeping, the equivalent of a do not disturb sign on a hotel door.
Conclusion
When I reviewed the SnoozeShade Original, I fell in love with it, I didn’t think anything could compare. The SnoozeShade Original Deluxe is just as loveable. With the same great features, it is one of those must have baby products. My only concern would be the poppers. I personally like them but some people may struggle to do them up, I know my mum who suffers with arthritis cannot do up poppers any longer. Perhaps something to consider in the future, is giving people the option purchase the SnoozeShade with their choice of velcro or poppers.
