Material

The SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe is made from a lightweight mesh material. This material is 100% breathable, allowing air to freely circulate whilst it is attached to your pushchair.

The material is what makes the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe a universal pushchair accessory, it is extremely stretchy, allowing you to put it over any pram, pushchair or stroller, you can even put it over carrycots, making it ideal to use right from the time your little one is born.

It might surprise you to know that although the mesh material is breathable, it can also protect from things like the wind, light rain and insects, making it ideal to use in most weather conditions and a must have accessory to take on trips abroad.

The mix of the shimmery grey mesh with the black trimmings means that it stays neutral but somehow gives the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe a more expensive look in my opinion

It also has the added bonus, like all other SnoozeShades, that it is machine washable at 30 degrees, making it easily cleaned if it were to get dirty.

The fit

This deluxe version of the SnoozeShade Plus can still be used in a variety of ways, these include:

• Providing protection from the sun, blocking up to 97.5% of harmful UV rays.

• As a blanket, protecting your little ones legs from perhaps getting a chill from the wind or stopping any light rain from getting them wet.

• Sleep mode, creating a darkened environment for your little ones, allowing them to nap in peace. This also helps you as a parent to keep them in any usual routine that you may have for your little one when out and about. For me personally this a really helpful feature because routine has always been a must in my house.

Still just as easy to fit but instead of using three pairs of velcro straps, it uses four pairs of poppered straps. These straps are just as stretchy as the normal velcro ones and for me personally, I find that the click of the poppers is a reassuring sound, lets me know that the straps have been fitted securely. SnoozeShade use the only safety certified poppers in the world for use with babies, allowing the product to meet the same high safety standards as a toy.

Like all other SnoozeShades, the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe can still be used over carrycots too although it has a bit of a baggier fit, more so because of the slightly bigger front panel.

Features

Sleeping baby emblem: The SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe comes with a sleeping baby emblem, designed to discourage other people from disturbing your baby.

The sneak-a-peek zip: This feature allows you to check on your little one as they sleep without disturbing them. The sneak-a-peek zip can also be seen on all other SnoozeShades however the zip is placed horizontally near the top of the shade, like on the SnoozeShade Plus Classic. I do think this placement is a lot better than on the original SnoozeShade, you get a much clearer view of your child.

Mesh viewing window: This was a feature that I loved when I reviewed the SnoozeShade Plus Classic. It allows your baby to still see what is going on around them if they are awake whilst still being protected from the sun in a nice shaded environment. The viewing window on the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe is slightly larger than the one on the SnoozeShade Plus Classic and an added feature on this version is that the mesh panel can be fully opened, providing easy access to your little one. This means that you can take your little one out of their pushchair without having to remove the SnoozeShade each time.

Front pocket: There is a pocket at the front where the sleeping panel and mesh viewing panel can be rolled down and stored in, this pocket can be poppered shut, keeping both panels safe when not in use, no need to worry about the wind blowing them about the place.

Conclusion

I really like the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe, again extremely easy to use and really great value for money. My favourite feature is that the mesh panel can be fully opened – as I rarely fold my pushchair, it meant that the SnoozeShade Plus Deluxe could be kept on the pushchair whether in use or not. However, some people may find the poppers tricky to do up. I also think that the sleeping panel would be easier and quicker to do up if it were done with velcro instead of poppers. Overall another great product that I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending.
