- Blocks 100% of Light – Ensures total darkness for better sleep.
- Reusable – Static-cling design sticks again and again without losing grip.
- Cut to Size – Easily customisable to fit any window.
- Roll or Fold for Storage – Compact and portable for convenient use.
- Wipe Clean – Low-maintenance and easy to care for.
- Sleep Tool – A must-have for creating the perfect sleep environment.
- Travel Friendly – Take it on the go for blackout comfort anywhere.
A completely dark room during sleep can provide comfort for a baby and help prevent early waking or difficulty settling during summer or daylight saving time.
This baby blackout blind is constructed from three layers of material, with a fully opaque inner layer that blocks 100% of sunlight. The outer layers are white, designed to blend seamlessly and stylishly into a child’s sleep space. The inward-facing side blocks out the light, while the outward-facing side reflects sunlight away from the windows, helping to regulate room temperature for a more comfortable sleep environment.
The Window Blockout is a static-cling blind, meaning it adheres using static rather than adhesive. It leaves no sticky residue on windows, and the blind can be reused repeatedly without losing its stickiness. Its reusable nature allows it to be removed during awake times to let in sunlight and reapplied at nap time to block the light. This feature also makes the blind portable—simply roll or fold it for easy storage when not in use.
The Window Blockout comes in a roll, allowing users to measure their windows, cut the blind to size, and apply it to the window panes. Windows can still be opened and closed as usual.
Please note: The Window Blockout is most suitable for single or double-glazed glass windows in a nursery or any other room. It is not recommended for frosted windows, non-smooth surfaces, privacy glass, or plastic windows.
Windows that receive direct sunlight and experience high temperatures or high humidity may affect the success of the application and may cause the blinds to fall or shrink. High condensation from low temperatures, heaters, or air conditioners may also impact application.
Measuring windows before purchasing is advised to determine how many rolls will be needed.
How to use:
- Ensure the window is clean prior to application by wiping it with water or a window cleaning product to remove dirt, grime, dust, or mould. Make sure no streaks or residue are left behind.
- Measure the width and length of the window, adding 5mm to each side (+1cm to the total measurements) to allow for shrinkage. For windows that tend to run warmer, add +2cm to the total measurements.
- Cut the sheets to the appropriate size. Begin the application at the top of the window by peeling a small section of the backing sheet from the top end, ensuring the shiny side is against the window. For a smooth application, use a credit card, window squeegee, or rolled-up towel to smooth out air bubbles as you go, peeling the backing away slowly. Avoid rushing to prevent bubbles. If large air bubbles appear, start the process again.
If air bubbles are present, simply peel off and reapply.
How to Remove:
Gently peel the sheet towards you, away from the window. Fold or roll the blind for storage, ready to be reused. Ensure both the blind and window are clean when reapplying.
Extra Tips:
For larger windows, two people may be needed for proper application.
Rolls are limited to 46cm in width and 183cm in length, so larger windows may require a patchwork effect.
The application process is similar to applying wallpaper, wall decals, or book cover contact. Apply carefully and without rushing for best results.
Before purchasing, assess the window to ensure the blinds are suitable for application. For further assistance, contact the customer service team.
